Animal Rescue

Throughout the year, many animals suffer from neglect and abuse. I am reminded of the great war reporter Ernie Pyle, who was killed in combat. He said, "I don't know how anyone whose been through a war can ever be cruel to another living thing."  You can do more than not be cruel, you can actually help another living thing by donating. Thank you to My Aunt Wenona, Avery, and their Neighbors for saving Clyde. We were blessed with his presence in mid-October of last year and he is our bundle of joy! We a luck that you found him and even luckier that he likes us and wants to stay. :) He is in a good home...and we couldn't be happier.

I asked my granddaughter if we should go get a pedicure next Saturday. She said "No Grammy, I think we should go back to the animal shelter". That we are...and bringing towels and blankets (again).

Sadly our little boy Clyde, rescued in October of 2010, passed away on March 1, 2013. Steve and I were devastated after a month of vet appointments and no answers. We miss him dearly and are blessed to have had him our lives! Luckily we found Oliver in the Modesto shelter and on 3-29-13, We welcomed Oliver, now a 10 month old German Shepard/Golden Retriever mix , into our home. He has a grateful smile on his face every morning and we are blessed to have such a creature in our presence. Thank you to all who rescue animals like our Clyde and Oliver, the are wonderful friends and faithful companions. Thank you Avery for the wonderful insight into your life, we are grateful. - Christy
